F404-IN20 engine line reopened to clear the Tejas Mk1A backlog

GE Aerospace has opened a dedicated F404-IN20 line for the Tejas Mk1A and pledged 20 to 22 engines this year and 30 the next, a combined 52 meant to clear HAL's backlog of built but grounded airframes ahead of the Air Force's March 2027 squadron target.
