Air Chief Vietnam visit builds on a defence trade now led by BrahMos

ACM AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff, began a three day official visit to Vietnam on Monday with a ceremonial welcome and bilateral air force talks in Hanoi. The trip lands against a fast growing defence trade whose standout item is the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile deal India and Vietnam signed earlier this year, worth about Rs 6,000 crore, though the missile did not feature in Monday's talks.
