INS Samarthak commissioned at Karwar as first major warship from a private yard

The Indian Navy commissioned INS Samarthak, its first Multi-Purpose Vessel, at Naval Base Karwar on Friday. Built by L&T at Kattupalli with over 75 percent indigenous content, the ship will test new sensors and weapons made by Indian industry.
