INS Trikand thwarts piracy bid on MV Golden Arsenal in Gulf of Aden

The Indian Navy stealth frigate responded to a piracy attempt on the St Vincent and the Grenadines flagged bulk carrier MV Golden Arsenal, roughly 300 nautical miles off Djibouti in the Gulf of Aden. All 21 crew, including one Indian national, sheltered in the citadel and were safe. A boarding team sanitised the ship, a P-8I flew surveillance overhead, and the vessel has resumed her voyage.
