India defence production hits a record as Rajnath Singh ties the number to Operation Sindoor

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said annual defence production reached a record of about Rs 1.78 lakh crore in 2025-26 and exports an all-time high of Rs 38,000 crore, casting Operation Sindoor as proof of a self-reliant industrial base and setting Rs 3 lakh crore production and Rs 50,000 crore export targets for 2029.
