S-400 314 km Kill Marks Longest Ever Indian Air Defence Engagement, MoD Says

The Ministry of Defence's Annual Report 2025-26 records the longest surface to air engagement carried out by the Indian Air Force, an S-400 Sudarshan unit destroying a Pakistani special mission aircraft at 314 km during Operation Sindoor. Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh had described the same engagement in general terms in August 2025; the report is the first written account to put an exact figure on it.
