Zorawar light tank Mk1 to start with 18 tanks, better-protected batch to follow

The first batch of about 18 Zorawar light tanks will carry a slightly lower level of protection, with the rest of the initial 59 to follow at a higher standard, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh said. The Army has agreed to the phased plan, which keeps L&T working on the programme.
