PRAHAAR Counter Terrorism Policy Rests on Seven Pillars, MHA Tells Rajya Sabha

The Ministry of Home Affairs has told the Rajya Sabha that PRAHAAR, India's first comprehensive National Counter Terrorism Policy and Strategy, rests on a seven-pillar framework shifting the country from a reactive stance to an intelligence-led proactive doctrine. Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai set out measures spanning real-time intelligence sharing through the Multi Agency Centre, a coordinated chain of command reaching specialised forces such as the NSG, curbs on terror financing, and an annual NIA-run Anti-Terror Conference for review.
