Tata Zorawar light tank clears Army's L1 hurdle for Rs 20,000 crore contract

Tata Advanced Systems has emerged as the Army's lowest bidder for the Rs 20,000 crore AFV-ILT light tank contract under Project Zorawar, clearing the way for a Production Order after last year's selection objections were dismissed. Mahindra Defence Systems, the second lowest bidder, will also build a competing prototype under the Make-I programme.
